Cypress and cut cedar with a bright thread of lemon peel running through, over damp moss and a trace of amber. This is an evergreen forest with the edges left sharp: cleaner, colder, and with more of a bite than a soft pine scent.

It takes its name from a journey through those woods. In the winter of 1775 and 1776, a train of artillery was hauled three hundred miles from Fort Ticonderoga to the army outside Boston, across frozen rivers and over the Berkshires on sleds. Historians came to call it the noble train. The route ran through cold pine forest the whole way.

That forest is what the candle is built on.
