The Summer Signature Trio
Three signature scents for the season of open windows: bright citrus, cool sea salt, and clean green herbs. Each one is named for a person or a place from early America, and each one is hand-poured in small batches.
Wheatley. Orange, orange peel, mango, grapefruit, peach, cedar, red currant. Named for Phillis Wheatley, the first Black woman published as a poet in America. Bright citrus lifted by lush fruit: poised and luminous.
Yorktown. Sea salt, jasmine, lemon. Named for the Virginia town near the Atlantic where the Revolution came to its end. Sea air mingled with soft jasmine petals: timeless and fresh.
Apothecary No. 1. Peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, cedar, patchouli, vanilla. Inspired by the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary, which opened in Old Town Alexandria in 1792 and stayed open for more than a century. Cool, clean, restorative.
Burned one at a time, they carry a room from morning to evening: Apothecary No. 1 to start the day clear-headed, Wheatley through the bright hours, Yorktown as the air cools. Burned together, they read like a summer afternoon near the water.
It is also a gift that arrives with three stories already inside it.
